The Melbourne PC User Group hosts many meetings of Special Interest Groups (SIGs).

So what exactly is a SIG ?

A SIG is simply a group of members who decide to hold regular meetings to discuss and explore a particular aspect of computing or a computer related activity.

These SIG meetings – sometimes called “meetups” by our younger members – are usually held once a month at a venue convenient to the participating members. Some SIGs have a general interest in a wide ranging topic while other SIGs have an in depth interest in a particular topic.

As a member of MelbPC you can regularly attend any number of SIGs. It is usually expected that you will show your membership card when you attend SIG meetings. Visitors are most welcome.

It is a good idea to contact a SIG prior to your first visit to confirm details. SIG meetings typically attract between 5 and 80 members.
