Agenda
Topic: “Electric Vehicles in Australia”
Presenter: Pete Gorton
Pete Gorton is a member of the Australian Electric Vehicle Association and a long term proponent of electric vehicles.
The Australian Electric Vehicle Association (AEVA) LTD is a volunteer-run, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to the cause of switching Australia’s transport networks to electric drive as quickly as possible. We all share a common interest in Electric Vehicles (EVs) and EV technology. Formed after the oil price shocks of 1973, the AEVA is the longest continuously running EV society in the world.
Our purpose is to provide a forum for social and technical communication in the EV field, create greater awareness of EVs and encourage their use, to foster further research and development in EV technology, and to be an official source of information on EVs in Australia.
Pete will explore all aspects of electric vehicle ownership and driving experiences.
And then …
We are going to have an extended interval with drinks and nibbles and an opportunity to have a bit of a chat and generally socialise. We will provide light nibbles, tea, coffee and soft drinks. Feel free to BYO beer or vino.
… And then …
- Hugh Macdonald, will deliver his President’s report
- We will then get a report from iHelp, courtesy of: TBC.
- To wind up we’ll have as long as you like to chat over Zoom. Please feel free to hang around; the socialising is good medicine in these stressful times.
… and last but not least …
The restaurant has been arranged for WAFFLE, a relaxed social get together at nearby Fong’s Chinese restaurant. Details and maps will be available on the night.
