Free Tutorials - How to use Smartphones, Tablets and Computers
After nearly 40 years of “members helping members”, Melbourne PC User Group is now open to the general public to teach and mentor adults entirely free of charge to increase their knowledge and confidence in using the latest digital technology.
With the increasing trend that everything is moving to the internet, it is important that all adults have the necessary skills and knowledge to carry out transactions on-line safely and with confidence.
Every 2nd and 4th Wednesday each month, the Moorabbin premises will be open to any members of the public to attend in person and bring along their portable device; smartphone, tablet or laptop computer to receive help with operating their device. Spare computers and tablets are also available for use by attendees if they do not already own a device or if their computer is not easily portable.
The Moorabbin premises will be open from 10:00 am to 3:00pm each occasion and light refreshments are provided. Other days and times may be available on special request at the discretion of mentors. For health and safety reasons, people will not be admitted if they are currently showing Covid or Influenza symptoms or have any contagious disease. Face masks are optional

The Melbourne PC User Group Inc. was founded in 1984 and quickly gained a reputation for help with computers that members gave willingly to each other. That tradition still lives on in the club that is run almost entirely by voluntary effort with well over a thousand members spread throughout Australia and overseas, although primarily within metropolitan Melbourne.
